An exceptional specialty veterinary hospital in Newton, MA is seeking a dynamic Specialty Medical Director to oversee clinical operations, mentor an advanced medical team, and drive superior patient and client care.
We are looking for a visionary doctor who excels at leading multidisciplinary teams, elevating clinical standards, and working in close partnership with the Practice Manager, board-certified specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff. What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Completion of a Residency Program in a recognized veterinary specialty (e.g., DACVIM, DACVS, DACVECC, etc.).
- Active State Veterinary License in good standing (or currently eligible/in the process of obtaining).
- Active DEA Registration in good standing (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record of clinical leadership and medical operations oversight in a specialty, emergency, or referral hospital setting.
- A steadfast commitment to veterinary excellence and upholding the AVMA Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
