Guidelines

Step-by-step help for using TheVetJobs: how to publish roles and manage clients as an employer, and how to set up Agents as a candidate.

For employers

Setting up your hiring workspace

Work through these steps in order the first time. Clients come before jobs, and knowing which profile you are editing prevents confusion.

1

How to list a client

A client is the clinic or hospital location a job belongs to. Jobs are always attached to a client, so add your locations before you publish anything.

  1. 1

Open Clients in the employer workspace

Go to Clients in the left navigation. Existing locations are listed with their state and city.

  2. 2

    Add the client

Give the clinic its trading name, contact details, and website. This is the organization attached to the role.

  3. 3

    Set the location

Choose the state first, then the city. These values control job filters, matching, and Job Alerts.

  4. 4

Attach a parent client when appropriate

Multi-site groups can place each clinic under a parent client so records remain grouped by organization.

  5. 5

    Upload internal supporting documents

Client attachments stay inside the hiring workspace and are not displayed on the public listing.

Add every location you hire for before the first job. Moving a published role later means checking its location and application form again.

2

How to list a job

Once a client exists, you can create and publish a role against that location.

  1. 1

Open Jobs and choose New Job

Select the client the role belongs to. If the list is empty, add the clinic under Clients first.

  2. 2

Set Position, Area of Practice, and job type

These fields decide which candidate searches, Agents, and Job Alerts can match the role.

  3. 3

    Write or load the description

Start from a saved description template when useful, then make responsibilities, caseload, and schedule specific.

  4. 4

    Add compensation and location

Compensation appears on the listing. State and city begin with the client location and can be adjusted for the job.

  5. 5

    Choose the application form

Use a standard form or assign a form built for that Area of Practice with the screening fields you require.

  6. 6

    Publish and monitor

Track applicants from Applications, and mark the job inactive when the position is filled.

Your plan controls how many employer-created jobs can be active. Inactive or deleted jobs do not consume the active-job allowance.

3

Personal profile versus company profile

These are separate records on separate screens. Understanding the difference prevents contact and calendar information from being saved in the wrong place.

Your account

Personal profile

The person who signs into the workspace.

  • Name and sign-in email
  • Password and security details
  • Interview scheduling calendar

Company profile

Organization details

The business information used across employer records.

  • Company name and contact details
  • Website, phone, and business profile
  • Client locations managed separately
