Step-by-step help for using TheVetJobs: how to publish roles and manage clients as an employer, and how to set up Agents as a candidate.
For candidates
Setting up your Agent
Set each Agent up carefully once, then manage or suspend it whenever your search changes.
Before you create an Agent
An Agent applies to matching roles on your behalf, so it needs a resume, targeting criteria, and an active subscription allowance.
-
1
Upload at least one resume
Go to Resumes and add the file you want submitted. You can store several and select a different resume for each Agent.
-
2
Choose a plan
Your plan decides how many Agents can run. Without an available Agent slot, the creation action remains unavailable.
-
3
Confirm your licensed states
An Agent only applies in states you select, so keep your active veterinary licenses accurate.
How to create an Agent
Each Agent targets one Area of Practice and one Position across the states you select. Create a separate Agent for each distinct job profile.
-
1
Open My Agents and choose Create Agent
The plan summary shows how many Agent slots are available.
-
2
Name the Agent and select a resume
Use a recognizable name such as “ER, Mountain West,” then select the stored resume it should submit.
-
3
Select Area of Practice, then Position
Position choices depend on the Area of Practice, so select the area first.
-
4
Select licensed states
Only selected states are searched. You can add more later as new licenses become active.
-
5
Save screening answers
Answers associated with the selected Area of Practice are included with matching applications.
-
6
Set the Agent active and save
An active Agent begins processing eligible current and future roles. Leave it suspended if you want to review the setup first.
If a required screening field needs a new file upload, the system leaves that role for you to complete manually.
Managing and suspending Agents
Agents can be edited, suspended, or deleted while submitted applications remain in your application history.
-
1
Edit targeting for future applications
Change the area, position, states, resume, or answers. Existing submissions are not altered.
-
2
Suspend while you interview
Suspending pauses new applications without removing the Agent or its configuration.
-
3
Delete when a search ends
Deleting frees the subscription slot for another Agent. Previously submitted applications remain available.
When a subscription ends, Agents are disabled after the paid period. Resumes, application history, and Job Alerts are unaffected.
